Often motivational speakers engage and make young people laugh, they get them up to hold a prop or act out in a dramatic presentation and get a round of applause when they're finished but often that's as deep and as far as their influence goes. Motov8 prides itself on presenting down to earth principles and analogies that are connected to items and objects that are a part of everyday life thus being reinforced regularly.

For over 20 years Rev. John McMahon has worked with young people that have struggled with their school attendance. Today more than ever kids are choosing to prolong or avoid dealing with their personal issues. This often results in them staying away from school for extended periods of time. Which in turn can have a significant impact on their future.

The Ride of Life - In this seminar we take techniques and principles from motorcycle racing and convert them into powerful practical analogies to help young people stay on track in life.

BEEF - Breaks down the stereotypically accepted definitions of masculinity and what it means to be a real young man in today's youth culture and replaces them with some absolute alternatives.

EMO-INTEL Looks at the way teenagers interpret information and breaks down the thought processes that lead to risky and unstable behaviour.

Raging Bull - This seminar addresses the topic of anger and teaches practical strategies to help empower young people to express their anger in ways that are healthy.

L.T.W. - Lead The Way is a seminar for potential and developing leaders. LTW will prepare and equip young people with skills to develop their ability to lead and to be lead by others.
NO BRAINER - This seminar looks at the impact of alcohol and other drugs on the developing teenage brain. It offers undeniable facts, confronting real life stories and strategic alternatives for young people to consider.
GEN BOOZE - Alcohol has a massive influence on Aussie young people and is responsible for ruining thousands of lives. Gen Booze looks at how we've got our selves into the mess that we're in and points to a way forward to dealing with it...

Rev. John McMahon is ordained with the Churches of Christ in Victoria & has been a youth pastor for 16+ years. Over this time has ministered in four churches & has spoken to thousands of teenagers in youth groups & Christian schools. He has run & spoken at camps, conferences, seminars, assemblies, chapel & church-youth services.

Rev. John is currently chaplain to MotoGP & World Superbike [WSBK] events here in Australia.

What can Motov8 offer schools?Motov8 offers seminars that are down to earth, easy for students to understand & apply in everyday life situations. Motov8 provides students with simple strategies through analogies & stories from motorcycle racing & current teen issues, that will work for them in school, at home & out in their social settings.

Our mission is to help people to stay on track & therefore in our presentations we don’t seek to hype kids up with gimmicks but rather give them clear Specific examples they can draw upon for overcoming the obstacles that life may throw at them.

Motov8 seminars are interactive & use a full range of multimedia to covey their messages. They are designed with most learning styles in mind & will relate to students between yr7-12 & will engage high achievers right through to those who are more disengaged or on the fringe of the school community.

Motov8 is also available individual or small group counselling sessions for males & is available to consult on issues surrounding student management, emotional intelligence & conflict resolution.
